The Board of Daniel Stewart Securities plc (AIM: DAN), stockbroker and corporate finance adviser to smaller and medium-sized companies, has been informed that on 6 January 2010 The Old Jewry Employee Benefit Trust purchased 600,000 ordinary shares of 0.25p each ('Ordinary Shares') at an average price of 1.62p per share.

Following this transaction, The Old Jewry Employee Benefit Trust is interested in a total of 23,162,741 Ordinary Shares, representing approximately 7.40 per cent. of the current issued share capital of the Company.
